This is a painter I’ve ever called “The Italian Van Gogh”: Ligabue, the mad man, he used colours as a loud voice, to scream his fears and to tell us his visions. I loved it and I wanted to thank him.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Ligabue's biography almost moved me to tears: his father died as he was a child, his mother got him into a madhouse (just because he had a violent breakdown). Then the World war, the loneliness, the jail.
And on the other side, his paintings with a wild nature and the endless sadness in his eyes, on those self-portrait…
I couldn't paint nothing but hot colours 2 tribute him my admiration.
